DESCRIPTION:JOIN US AT OUR VIRTUAL 2020 CANDIDATE  FORUM\n\nThe Dickinson Area Chamber takes a vital interest in elections\, most importantly\, the candidates running for local office and the issues facing our area and community. The Chamber feels it is extremely important to inform our members and the general public of the candidates\, their background\, past experience\, reasons for seeking public office\, and priorities if elected.\nWe provide this Candidate Forum as a public service\, and we are privileged and proud to play a role in the democratic process. The Dickinson Area Chamber is non-partisan and does not endorse or contribute funds to any candidate for  elected office.\n\n\n\nThe Dickinson Press and the Governmental Relations Committee of the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a virtual Candidate Forum on Thursday\, May 14 at 5:30 PM.\n\n\n\nBe sure to tune-in to the Facebook Live event!\n\n\n\nThis event is open to the public and will feature City Commission and Park District Commission candidates providing answers to questions generated by the public prior to the Candidate Forum.\n\n\n\nTHE FORMAT\n\n\n	The Candidate Forum will begin at 5:30 PM and run until 7:00 PM. \n	The format will include an opening statement of 2-minutes for each candidate.\n	The candidates will have 1 minute each to answer questions submitted by the voters prior to The Candidate Forum. \n	The Candidate Forum will wrap with 2-minute closing statements by each candidate. \n	Order of opening & closing statements will be determined by a drawing before The Candidate Forum.\n\nThe event will be recorded and replayed on Consolidated Dickinson City Access Channel 18.\n\n\n\nThe Candidate Forum will be kept timely by the moderator\, James Miller\, at the Dickinson Press.
